People are just like bell peppers...
This amuses me greatly: for the hell of it (procrastinating from chores and fic) I ran one of my pictures through Google image search. It went on to offer me visually similar images, in color and shape.
And lo and behold, people are just like bell peppers!

Adventures in cooking
Obviously, weekly veggie box of organic vegetables notwithstanding, I'm not born to be a kitchen princess. Chopping onions makes me cry like a baby, pepper makes me sneeze, and I've discovered the hard way it's a very bad idea to burn red pepper *cough wheeze*

Settling back in
So, the first of the laundry is in the machine, the hiking boots have been cleaned and waxed, and groceries have been got. I'm making progress at settling back in after the holiday. When buying cat food today, I also 'splurged' on a little play mouse. Well, those 95 eurocents were certainly well-spent: Sam has been pouncing and throwing the poor thing around for the past hours. I think it took five years from his cat age... :)
