It's always an adventure when a trip sneaks up on me. Suddenly the hours shorten, seeming to go by much faster than they would on other days. Suddenly I realize that half the wardrobe I meant to take on the trip still needs to be laundered, and I wonder why I didn't get to it last week.

I'm still in San Diego, with two days of Comic Con to survive.  My feet want to fall off, and my knees stiffen up very easily.  I briefly sat out in the sun this afternoon before I was going to leave, and the hot sun on my black slacks soothed the knees for a little bit.  Enough to get me a bit further, but man, it's an endurance test.  One weekend ( Read more... )

Well, sort of.  By the end of the convention, I had acquired a nasty congestion, that is only now starting to dislodge itself. But that and the weariness of foot, knee and hip from pounding the Exhibit Hall's concrete floor (even if thinly carpeted) were the only draw-backs to the sensory overload that is ComicCon International.
