I have been vaguely thinking off and on during the last month that I needed to get back to my practice of writing about my friends. I put it off because I wanted to finish compiling a PDF of all the original entries. But even that project got shunted down the priotiry list. And so I didn't get anything new written.

Once upon a time a group of comic book fans and creators heard of a wannabe publisher who had been cheating writers and artists he'd "hired."  In this little online community, I "met" one witty character -- a cartoonist -- who was also something of a crusader, who helped shape some plans to try and right some of the wrongs that had been done.
