Can I catch the next train to Amish-ville?

What can I say?  I'm so fed up with appliances at our house.  It's officially 10 more days until our new dishwasher arrives and I can't wait.  I've been using as many paper products as i can, whenever I can and I just hate that.

Last week I thought my washing machine was broken but it turns out that I didn't get the door shut tight (it's a front loader) and therefore the diapers in the wash didn't get their spin cycle so they were still very, very wet.

We've had our dryer serviced twice in the last several months.  And now I'm really upset with my dryer - tonight I found a second pair of overalls ruined because the hook/buckle got caught near the lint trap.  The pair that got caught tonight was a nice pair from Macy's that he got for Christmas - he hasn't even worn them yet.  I don't know how it's happening but somehow they get caught in something and as the dryer spins around they get more and more tangled until the fabric breaks.  The last time it just ripped the fabric in two pieces and that will be somewhat easy enough to remedy.  However, this pair is maybe somewhat ruined.  The buckle broke in half and is twisted really bad.  The part that it hooks onto was literally, ripped from the fabric and then the fabric broke away from the rest of the garment.

The last time this happened I thought it was because the buckles were not clipped.  Well this time, I left the buckles clipped as they were when we got them but that didn't seem to stop it from happening again.

I'm so fed up with all these appliances and all the problems they've been giving us that I swear sometimes I just want to be Amish.  Ugh.
