supermemo-esque for iPod touch / iPhone

This may be old news, but I just found it thanks to someone's facebook update mentioning the app:

Karatasi uses the same spaced repetition method of flashcarding that supermemo does. That is, every day, the program decides what cards to quiz you on based on how well you knew them the last time you saw them. I'm pretty sure this is the same way that zyzzyva cardbox operates, but since cardbox isn't portable (yet), and my palm phone is going to go obsolete soon, Karatasi is a good new option.

It has taken me awhile to figure out how to get my cards to look the way that I want, but I now have them organized the same way that I did my supermemo cards -- alphagram and number of solutions on the front of the card, anagram(s), definitions, probability and playability rankings on the backs. So far I've only formatted up the top 6k sevens, but the rest should be easier now that I have a basic system for creating the databases. The visual is prettier than supermemo, and has more flexibility on display options (fonts, font sizes, etc), and you set the display options with simple html code.

I know that not many people were using supermemo, but I lived on it. The only problem with moving to karatasi is that I'm losing all of the memory that my supermemo has built up of how many times I got each card right and how to space my repetitions. But, since I've taken a long break from studying, it's not bad that I'm starting the testing process from scratch.

karatasi, studying
