This is the first time I've ever been stopped in the middle of a feature so that I could sign a book for a kid who needed to go home because it was past his bedtime. He must have been about eight years old. His mother shouted out his handwriting in school is bad. I wrote in his book:
"It's okay if your handwriting is bad. Only the words matter, only the stories."
