"It's Riza." She smiled. She had already shored herself up for this. She kenw she would find herself, once again, looking into a face she knew but did not know her. It would be a lie to say that she didn't feel a little confused and lost as the Xingese girl looked up at her with no recognition in her eyes, but she had already decided that she had had enough of being weak and storm-tossed in this place. Things were how they were and she would adapt. At least until a way was found to get back home.

She offered the little box of animal shaped chocolates to Mei. She wanted to talk to the little girl and find out how far behind she was. Mei had been at the center of the conflict, too, jumping in to find this 'Father' person when all Riza could do was sit and wait and press a hand to her throat to staunch bleeding that had been stopped but somehow felt like it would keep spilling forever. It was possible that she knew something that could be of help, or that could give Riza some insight she hadn't had before, so this conversation was necessary, beyond gratitude.

"I hope you like sweets," she said warmly. "It's . . . a thank you. Just before the Door brought me here, you saved my life."
