[Static first, then the forge turns on a moment after it hits the ground, apparently having fallen out of the pocket of its possessor. In the extreme foreground at the bottom of the screen is a discarded black shirt. Further back sits the owner of both articles, her gray jacket held against her chest and her knees drawn up to her chin. Her eyes are clouded and do not see the device recording her and mist swirls around her, thicker than it should be in this part of the ruins. She winces as if in pain, hands clutching the pale fabric of her jacket in trembling fists.]
Father? Daddy? [Her voice is uncharacteristically meek and shaky.] It - it hurts.
[She pauses as if listening to someone who is not there. She bites her lower lip hard and looks ashamed.]
I’m sorry, father. No. I don’t want to disappoint you. No. I’m sorry.
[another listening pause]
I’m sorry, father. Yes. I can. I know how important it is. I’ll sit still and be quiet like I promised.

Yes, sir. I understand. Yes, father. Thank you.
[She bows her head and bites her lip again, her body tensing. She makes no sound but a tiny shudder runs through her body and then she sits perfectly still, eyes squeezed shut. She doesn’t sniffle or shake but she is obviously in pain. The only motion is in the trembling of her fingers and flinching of her face as her eyelashes dampen.
She sits still for what seems like a very long time before the Mist begins to shift. She blinks, her face totally blank for a moment before everything catches up to her. And the forge. Her hand snaps out and turns it off immediately.]
[ooc: The last few days have been a bit hard on Riza, not that she would say a word about it to anyone, and her current fixation on her past made her easy prey for the fluctuating Mist. For anyone who doesn’t know, sometime in her early teens Riza’s father tattooed her back with a huge alchemy array detailing how to control fire. And that is what she’s remembering here.]
