When she agreed to meet this woman, it was only because Scar had said he'd known her, that she was from Amestris and she was a person that could be trusted. She had already grown used to the fact that Scar didn't know or remember her, despite how much it bothered her in the beginning, but for someone to know her and her not to remember them was probably just as bothersome for this woman.
But Mei wouldn't let the fact that she didn't know her to get away from her. She didn't know many of these people, yet she had to work with them. If she knew the world, came after a time when it was possible for her to meet others outside of Scar's little group, than she might be of some help. At least, that was what she had come to hope. Ling of the Yao clan had attained what she sought... if this woman knew anything after that... well, she simply had to know.
In the meantime, Mei thought the idea of meeting in the cafeteria would be productive. No one else seemed to want the place, or wasn't exactly focused on keeping it going, so, it would be up to her to keep up the work Oruha had placed into it. Today was just a look through, a planning period. Then she'd set out on the fixing up later. She had to recruit other people, after all.
