[closed-ish] tantaene animis caelestibus irae

Jan 17, 2011 23:22

Who: Byakuya Kuchiki (xnoble_reasonx), Trevor Belmont (poweroflegend), Remus Lupin (lumenrelegandus).1
When: Following this and that.
Where: The church
Format: Starting with paragraph, could go into action… go nuts!
What: Trevor found three of Bellatrix's latest victims burned on the altar. Lupin recognized them as such. (Likes her living effigies, Bellz does.) Byakuya agreed to officiate.
Warnings: Horrendously murdered children. :-(

~ He stands outside the church and can feel the memory of the fire.

Lupin had closed his forge and Apparated straight there. He waits outside for Byakuya to arrive. Inside Trevor is waiting for them. Guarding the children.

He'll inspect them himself. Try to look past the physical bodies-what she's done, to whom she's done it, how they felt it, who else it symbolises, how it's intended for him…-focus only on where he's useful: reading the magical signatures2 to confirm lawfully that it's her. …As lawful as one could make anything in, despite the best efforts of people like Byakuya, what remained an inherently lawless land. Power was law. Well, he was offering his.

He will look at them directly, but the echo of Fiendfyre calls all the way to here.

Turning slightly away, Lupin shoved his hands (wand in his sleeve) into his pockets, and waited for Byakuya.

[ 1 Others w. the relevant info. to jump in: Haruno Sakura (sucker_punches), Jim Standfast (re_formed), Lust (sonvisage). And indeed anyone who wants to notice the inspecting happening and tell Bella about it later.

2Past instances when Lupin's done this: with Heine, with Sakura
