This is a page to reference for the fall schedule and any info on new shows...
http://www.tvguide.com/special/fall-preview/fall-schedule.aspx Now let's get to it!
Mondays
8pm
Watching - How I Met Your Mother on CBS
Recording - House on FOX (Steve likes this show so it will be recorded for him)
Dropped - Heroes
We finally gave up on Heroes during the middle of the last season. We recorded them all and eventually realized that it felt more like a chore to watch them so we deleted them figuring if we ever wanted to catch up we can watch it on DVD. It just got too messy and ridiculous last season to keep up anymore.
8:30pm
Watching - Accidentally on Purpose on CBS
New show with Jenna Elfman. Will check it out but as with most sitcoms I have little hope. I'm sure the hope is that with the lead in from HIMYM it will get viewers.
9pm
Watching - Lie To Me on FOX
Recording - Trauma on NBC
We all liked the first season of Lie To Me last fall. Trauma is a new hospital drama which I would like to check out. It seems a little over the top from the previews but I'm interest to see it at least once.
The conflict!
9:30pm - Big Bang Theory on CBS
I'm mad they broke up the double whammy of HIMYM and BBT. But I know why it was done. I will probably end up recording this show and catching Trauma on it's currently scheduled repeat night.
10pm
Watching/Recording - Castle on ABC
Steve and I really enjoyed the first season of this show last fall. Depending on how tired I am will determine if we watch it live or record it.
Tuesdays
8pm
Recording - 90210 on The CW
Watching - So You Think You Can Dance on FOX
Recording 90210 because Steve wouldn't stand for it but can handle SYTYCD.
I got sucked into 90210 last year because of my morbid curiosity of a remake. We'll see if it can keep me or start to spin out of control to the point that I think it's too ridiculous to watch anymore.
I love SYTYCD but I really don't think they should have added it to the fall line up. It was a fun summer show that they realized brought in a bunch of money and must now be on in the fall. I just think it's too much considering the last season JUST ended.
9pm
Recording - Melrose Place on The CW
90210 went so well why not remake it's sister show? Again my morbid curiosity especially since a lot of the previous stars are coming back for this one.
10pm
Recording/Watching - The Good Wife on CBS
Not Watching - The Forgotten on ABC
The Good Wife is a new show starring Julianna Margulies as a politicians wife whose husband goes to jail and she has to go back to work as a lawyer. Looks good so I will check it out. Really liked the last show she did where she also played a lawyer, Canterbury's Law, which unfortunately didn't last very long. I don't know if Steve will be interested in this one which determines if this gets watched or recorded.
The Forgotten is a new show with Christian Slater about investigators on cases involving unidentified victims. Sadly his last show, My Own Worst Enemy, didn't take off which we actually liked. But I'm not caring much for this concept, sounds a little boring to me so I'm gonna pass.
Wednesdays
8pm
Watching - So You Think You Can Dance on FOX (results show)
Recording - America's Next Top Model on The CW
Again Steve can handle SYTYCD, ANTM not so much. I'm kind of getting bored with ANTM but they are having "short" girls this season.
Not Watching - Hank on ABC
Not Watching - Mercy on NBC
Hank is a new sitcom starring Kelsey Grammar and right there is why I'm not watching it. I have nothing against him personally just not so found of his acting.
Mercy is a new show about nurses in a hospital, and altho I wouldn't mind checking it out, I already had 2 given favorites I'm connect to so I figured this one would have to be left by the wayside.
8:30pm
Not Watching - The Middle on ABC
New sitcom starring Patricia Heaton. Conflicts with the other 2 shows I'm already watching and altho I wouldn't mind checking it out, the reviewer gave it promise, I'm going to have to miss it.
9pm
Watching - Modern Family on ABC
Recording - Glee on FOX
Not Watching - The Beautiful Life on The CW
Modern Family is a new sitcom that from the previews looks hilarious. It shows all the different types of families that make up one larger family.
Caught the preview pilot episode of Glee months ago and enjoyed it. Will continue to watch and wonder if it gets too goofy and loses my attention.
The new show The Beautiful Life sounds like another teen angsty type drama about models and it's Micha Bartons big return to TV. Ppppfffttt...who cares? And it's executive produced by Ashton Kutcher who really just needs to stop.
9:30pm
Watching - Cougar Town
A new show on after Modern Family so may as well check it out. Stars Courteney Cox and I'm sure by the title you can guess the set up. It has a few other familiar actors and is done by a guy who worked on Scrubs, but I just don't see this one making it past a few episodes.
10pm
Not Watching - Eastwick on ABC
3rd time is a charm right? This is the 3rd time they have tried to turn the movie into a TV show. It stars Rebecca Romijn who I can't stand so that alone loses my interest.
Thursdays
8pm
Watching - Bones on FOX
Recording - FlashForward on ABC
Not Watching - The Vampire Diaries
FlashForward is a new show where time pauses for a couple minutes causing everyone to see their future and then how they deal with it. I love the concept and can't wait to see it.
I am not into Twilight or True Blood or any of the other vampire fads that are going around now. The Vampire Diaries are another teen angsty drama that involves vampires. I have no interest whatsoever.
Here is where it all goes to hell...
9pm
Grey's Anatomy on ABC
Fringe on FOX
Supernatural on The CW
Who are the idiots that put these all up against each other?!?!? I'll record Grey's I'm sure, we'll watch one of the other ones and then at some point have to watch the one that is left online. This is ridiculous. These are all shows we are seriously invested in and cannot give up on now.
Oh but wait, there is more ridiculousness...
9:30pm
Community on NBC
New show starring Joel McCale. We love Joel McCale!! I don't know how good it will be but we all want to watch. Probably have to watch online.
***Community moves to 8 pm and 30 Rock will air at 9:30 pm once SNL Weekend Update Thursday ends.
Still doesn't solve our viewing conflict.
10pm
Shockingly nothing is on at this time that we watch...this can be used as recorded show catch up time or for me possible sleep.
Fridays
8pm
Again, nothing is on at this time that we watch so can be used as recorded show catch up time.
Not sure what will happen here...
9pm
Ugly Betty on ABC
Dollhouse on FOX
ANTM repeat on The CW
Ugly Betty has been moved to Friday nights to die. I was kind of over it since it took me until just last week to finally watch the last season finale. But after watching that I'm dying to know what happens this coming season.
I really like Dollhouse and watched the whole 1st season last fall. Steve dropped out part way thru the season.
I can't watch the ANTM repeat at this time but it's nice to know it's there if I need it.
Saturdays
9pm - Trauma repeats on NBC
If I miss it the first time around I can record it at this time until...
***Southland repeats will replace Trauma repeats in spring.
Sunday
7pm
Watching - AFV on ABC
Connor loves to watch this show and I do too. Steve could live without it but he's usually right there laughing along with us.
8pm
Steve usually watches The Simpsons on FOX or Extreme Home Makeover on ABC and the rest of us are along for the ride.
8:30pm
The Cleavland Show on FOX
The new spin off from Family Guy that I feel never should have happened. I'll only see it if Steve's curious enough to watch it.
9pm
Three Rivers on CBS
Not sure if I will watch or record this one. It's a new show about a group of doctors who do transplants. I'm kind of interested but not sure if it will be a show for me. Steve may watch with me, we'll see.
10pm
Brothers & Sisters on ABC
Depending on how tired I am will determine if I watch it or record it. The last season started to get a little crazy and it's getting redundant with the family bickering but we'll see what happens this season if I keep watching or drop out because I can't take anymore.
And there you have it! My TV viewing for fall!
