Sometimes I've seen signs on dual carriageways and motorways that seem to specify a speed limit that's the same as the national speed limit (i.e. 60 or 70 mph for most vehicles, depending on the type of road), which seem a bit... pointless? Today I learned why they're there, and figured I'd share
