Monday, in short
Day started out great: new job, nice cubicle, decent atmosphere.
Middle of the day: frustrating, angering, and disappointing. Arrived at site of consulting work a) to find that I'd lost what had become my favorite ring, b) to find myself stowed at a desk with no guidance and iffy network access, c) sharing an office meant for one with two other people who barely bothered to introduce themselves when I walked into the room and d) a meeting with the new boss that got put off and put off and put off.
End of the day: a gathering with friends for drinks and, in the end, a gift of new smashed pennies. The day's not a total loss.
Here's hoping tomorrow's better.
