My husband's school district has been closed all week.  For some unknown reason, they apparently have like 1/2 a snow plow in that county or something.  So tack on 3 extra days to his already LOOOOONG winter break.  Uh-huh, you feel me, ladies.

I do all of the laundry in this house. I'm sure this surprises no one. Most every day I haul 2 loads of laundry down 2 flights of stairs, wash, dry, fold, hang, press, steam, and then I carry it all back up 2 flights of stairs again, sort, and put it all into the designated drawers, shelves, or closets. My husband is a bit of a neat freak.  This little quirk of his escalates into an obsession the day before leaving for vacation.  The man really likes coming home to a clean house.  And I really like having a clean house, especially if someone else is doing the cleaning.  This afternoon:

Me: One of the legs is really loose and I can't fix it.
Him: [mumble to self, grumble, grunt a bit]
Him: Um, when you tried to fix it did you actually use a screwdriver?

My husband's computer died a few days ago.  Literally.  We came downstairs and my computer was in mourning.  It was not a happy day.

Since then, he bought a new hard drive and has madly been re-installing programs and recovering data.  At some point, he discovered that he had lost his Microsoft Money disk.  This is the program that he uses to do all ( Read more... )
