To say that this puts a damper on our day is an understatement. Mona and I trudged to the nearest mamak shop for a drink each, trying to figure out how to get out of this mess. I called my dad and while he definitely sympathized, I'm on my own because I can't possibly expect him to drop everything and come all the way here (my office is 40 minutes away from home) to solve my car problem? (I did)
Well fine. See if I would help him out when a rat breaks into the house and/or if the cat vomits in his room. He can take the broom and shove the nasty things away himself, hmph. I called my aunt but I just missed her, she just left Amcorp Mall minutes ago! I want to be miffed about this stroke of bad luck but then again, I can't possibly leave my car to rot here. Plus I'll be racking the ticket price the longer my car stays here. SO back to the drawing board.
Mona and I were discussing the possibility of asking the people who mans the car wash in the underground parking lot if they offer jump-start services when none other than Arashidah (arashic0804) passed by! She's my friend who worked in BookXcess, and after exchanging pleasantries, I told her why Mona and I were pretty much pissed with the world. And then she told me that she could give me a contact number for a mechanic nearby who may help us with my car.
Imagine a ray of light breaking through a thick cloud. Imagine chorus of angels. Imagine floating hearts behind one's eyes. Imagine someone lifting a boulder that has been crushing your chest and you can finally breathe. Those and everything else of the same sentiment rushes through my head as I thank Arashidah profusely, thank you so much you have no idea how glad I am to hear that, you're heaven sent seriously omg
As she went off to find the phone number of the mechanic on her office computer, Mona and I went to the car wash to try our luck there. Alas, the guys there were pretty much useless, but just as we left dejectedly I got an sms from Arashidah with the mechanic's contact number. Our problem may be solved yet!
