Learning curve...

Apr 22, 2005 10:11

After my last entry (on Tuesday), I did end up going out to the bar and meeting up with some friends. It was good... it was really good. I mean, it wasn't a special night or anything, and nothing spectacular happened... but... I did get to be "social" and "hang-out". I saw old friends, I met new people, I drank a few beers, I hugged a few people, and I came home late (around 11:30p).

Everyone's comments on my last posting were honest and it was good for me to post and reflect on my feelings. Being social and my friends are a part of me, and I need to keep that part of me, because if I don't, it will hurt me. Learning the balance between that and my love and life with Barry is the "learning curve" that we are going through right now... and throwing in the move on top of that was just not (shall we say) an "ideal" situation... but it is what is. We take what we're dealt and play our hand the best we can. (No comments from the peanut gallery about how bad I am at playing poker. *giggle* *sigh*)
