(no subject)
Don't let the icon completely fool you into thinking I had a shitty time tonight. I didn't. I actually had an amazing time with Patricia and the gang known as Vanity & Vein. I even got a sparkly gold top hat! (It was shadow!Rotti's during the "Gold" number. It went with his boa and sparkly gold-tinted sunglasses. And his gold $-sign chain. He was kind of pimp.) It was, barring a small stomachache and a missing shadow!Pavi during the "Sanitarium Square" scene, pretty great, as always.
It's just... *heavy sigh* I dunno. I'm probably just too sensitive. (Although I still think the repeated public snark was uncalled for. Ticket prices being steep is a silly reason to knock an event you know your friends are going to, especially more than once.) To be honest, I'm glad tonight worked out the way it did.
Oh, except for the part where I left my phone in Patricia's car. D: At least, I hope I left it in her car. I have to rely on Twitter to contact her about it... "@labrattish @BlissfulMadness Found it. I'll drop it by tomorrow afternoon. It'll force me to get out of bed." Yaaaaay! I can rest easy now.
But hey! Sparkly gold hat! :D And I felt really cute in my cat ears. ^^; And I got to play Good Morning, Magpie for Patricia. Now I just have to find the CD Sally sent to me so Patricia can copy it to her computer. Or I can just send it as a zipped folder. I'm still debating that. (I also need to give her Elephant Elephant to listen to, because it continues to be mind-blowingly awesome.) In exchange, she's loaned me a cooling mat! Hopefully that helps my poor little laptop; it's been making some scary-ass noises today. >.> It also looks like she'll be doing some costume and makeup work for V&V. (Yay!) I have a feeling her first order will be to make shadow!Amber an actual blue stole for the "Happiness Is Not A Warm Scalpel" scene. Looks kind of like this:
Oh! Oh! One of the other highlights of the evening: Stephanie (V&V's Amber) realized we weren't friends on Facebook yet so she wrote down her information for me. This led to us briefly geeking out over Cowboy Bebop because her chosen name for her Facebook URL is the same as the title of a Bebop episode. XD Making a mental note to try and hang out with her outside of shadow cast shows.
