Heading East . . .

Oct 05, 2019 12:03

I leave tomorrow, but as always have yet to pack. Equally as always, it's blazing hot, and so the very idea of even touching long sleeves stuff makes me leave packing till the last day. My instinct is always to pack tank tops and shorts, but I have to remind myself that summer is over everywhere but here.

So much to do, and yet I've been working not only through days, but nights (last night till almost four a.m.) to try to catch up. A lot of it is tedious detail work having to do with trying to market a book. I hate marketing. I would rather be writing, and I'm not sure it works. But someone offered to help me through the mysteries of newsletters, so I took the plunge. We'll see if it pays off, or it's all wasted effort.

Wow, that's coming up in a few days.

Well, now I need to get ready for a family birthday bash, then after that, back at it.
