So Moira was invited to her friend Nate's 3rd birthday, and I was clean out of wrapping paper. I walked into the gift shop with one thought on my mind: Buy Neutral Yet Attractive Wrapping Paper That Can Be Used On Multiple Occasions.
Neutral.
Neutral.
That is when I saw it: pretty white paper with blue stars, nice and shiny, not-gender-specific, and attractive. IT WAS PERFECT!!! IT WAS NEUTRAL!!! I hurriedly bought a LARGE roll of the paper and brought it home and wrap wrap wrap!
The gift was about 2/3 wrapped when I took a closer look and realized...wait....those are six-pointed......I HAVE BOUGHT BAR MITZVAH WRAPPING PAPER! AND I HAVE BOUGHT A LOT OF IT! ENOUGH TO WRAP EVERYONE'S GIFTS FOR PROBABLY THE DURATION OF 2009!
My mind raced frantically: Are there really six points? Is it the Star of David? I counted, just to make sure. Yes. Next question: do I know any 13-year-old Jewish boys? Think...think...think....no. DAMN!
So you know what this means: Valentine's Day? Easter? Birthdays? Hell, next CHRISTMAS? LA'CHAIM!
