the interview

The first interview I've had since quitting,...

It went well. The job sounds busy and it pays well. It's for an office manager position.

First off, I got there early. And there's NO ONE in the office. They have a warehouse in the back/side of the office and someone running the forklift hollered that I was there. We went into his sparse office and chatted. It seems like a great job. He admitted that he hadn't read my resume as we started. His questions were easy and it sounds like they want someone ASAP. He did have a few other people to interview but I'm hopefull.

The weird portions:
He didn't ask the usual questions, You know, the ones that make someone go, "Oh, um, well,..." which is cool just odd.

He admitted that he's not really organized and isn't really focused on the office. He's more into the production side of the business. (They've just moved it to Kelowna from Calgary because they can't hire anyone there)

He didn't blink when I told him my pay expectations.

He asked what part I thought I'd need help with if I started there. I answered Payroll (with both parents as accountants, I hate payroll out of principal) and he said, That's okay, we can get you back on track.

It was SUPER quick. The interview was maybe 15minutes if even.

OTher than that it was good. The rest of the day has been a wash of blah. I have to wash the car today and get some stuff at Walmart before picking up my hubby. He found a car he wants to buy (Our other second car died) but because he doesn't drive stick, it would have to be mine, which means giving up my explorer with leather seats and everything... I think I'll have to teach the man to drive stick! Lol.
