Well, Last night we had an interesting call and one of our financial matters didn't get dealt with by the bank as we'd been told. Our financial person at the bank is away until the middle of next week and no one can help until she gets back. Needless to say last night was stressful.
So, Ross read his book and I took a bath. Lol.
We actually talked about it, freaked out about it, then snuggled on the couch about it. We've been really lovey dovey about things lately. The stress bothered my stomach so he went out and bought some groceries and made supper for us. :)
Then we snuggled some more on the couch. He read his book so I took a bath. After my bath I decided to actually try meditating again. It's been so long since I've meditated.
(You might not believe me, but years ago, I used to do it all. I'd do my Yoga and Tai Chi as well as spend about 20 minutes meditating every day)
I think that's what's been missing from my life is the quiet meditation. I did a guided meditation (which was very poorly done. more on that soon) and I actually felt great again. I think I've just been missing the chance to center myself and have been losing focus.
** The meditation was done by a fellow with an okay voice but he had a deep southern carolina accent and he had the worst ability to read and talk in a consistant manner. I ended up quitting the tape half way through.
I'm going to try some more yoga today and I think I'll go with a Deepak meditation. I have one that is SO good that it takes like 20 minutes to get out of *You just feel so relaxed!* but I'm not sure which one it is. Lol. Last time I used it, I had gotten really upset about something and I figured it was better to sit alone in the dark than say something. Ross came in to check on me and I wasn't even halfway through the start of it. I was just really relaxed. It was a great feeling.
Anywho,
OH For those that want a good motivation tape, it called "100 ways to motivate others". The narrator is this guy with an almost monotone voice that I find oddly soothing. The points in the tape are also very helpful. Worth checking out.
But I should get going.
I hope you all find something to day that makes you smile and something else that inspires you.
