The Happenings
Ah November, how did you get here so fast?! Life is flying along and as 2007 has tended to be there are many great highs and low lows.
*Tomorrow my brother is having surgery for his TMJ. He's been absolutely debilitated by this for the past 4.5 years- not working, not going to school, and I know he is ready to get feeling better. The surgery will be 6 hours and they will put bone from his hip into his jaw along with 8 plates and 32 screws. After he will not be able to eat but out of a syringe for 6 weeks (poor boy will miss thanksgiving!). Hopefully everything will go wonderfully and he will be able to move on in life *crossesfingers*
*I found out a few hours ago that 7 of our high school students were in a car accident. One was airlifted to the hospital and the other six were transported. Three of them, including the one airlifted, are freshman that I know. I so hope everyone is ok. The freshman class lost a classmate back in May and the high school had a suicide in September and this so doesn't help the kids or the community (we only have one high school).
*My uncle in Alaska was found to have a brain tumor last week. It is quite painful and affecting him a lot. Since they don't have the needed equipment where they live he went to Michigan to stay with one of my aunts. They did more tests yesterday, including a full body scan to see if he has any more tumors, but I do not know the results yet. We also don't know if it is cancerous or not (it isn't! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!). The good news is that if you are going to have a tumor in the brain I guess this one is in a good spot and it is operable.
*I close on my house on November 29th! Yay and OMG what am I doing?!?!
*James and I have been together two months now and things are still going well.
