I got an email today from the gentleman I interviewed with last fall for a job I REALLY wanted.  He is hiring again and thought of me...

Today is my one month anniversary at my new job.  Irony?

Driving in the opposite direction is weird.  It's also weird that I'm so close I can come home for lunch.  It's neat but it's weird.  I feel as though it's not real and this job is only temporary until I screw something up or they lay me off because they're lying about how well they are doing.  I know neither will happen but it's in the back of my ( Read more... )

Lots of talk about jobs lately... some have gotten new jobs (congrats!), some are frustrated with theirs (I will be glad to grrr with you if you want) and some are still waiting (that would be me and a couple other LJ friends).  Makes me think of all the jobs I have had and I can honestly say that only one company I've worked for was a well run ( Read more... )

I had the best interview today!  I really liked the man I interviewed with and it was an actual person from the company instead of an agent acting on behalf of their client.  I don't want to get too excited but I'm hoping this is the job I get.

Ok, so I had a less than stellar interview on Monday.  Guy basically told me I did not want the job plus I got lost on the way home.  Tuesday's interview went WAY better.  Sounds like a great job, guy totally sold it and I got lost again!  In my defense, the interview was in Chicago and it is hard to navigate on a good day.  I was nervous about ( Read more... )
