Well, Kuura's trip to the vet to have parts removed went well. She charmed all the nurses and after coming round from the anaesthetic, ate one and a half sachets of wet food. I was intructed to give her a light meal of say, fish or chicken, in the evening, following her op, so as not to risk upsetting her stomach. It seemed a rather unnecessary ( Read more... )

I went to bring in the blue paper bin this afternoon, as no one else had bothered, and found that it hadn't been emptied. This happened a month ago. It's only half full, so they can't compain that the lid was up, or suchlike excuses.

Well, it's been a long day, today. It started with a trip to the doctor's this morning at 9:40 to have a toenail removed. I've had infections from the nail ingrowing, so the doctor suggested removal to let a new one grow. Lessee now, what have I been up to lately ? Decided to go to the eye clinic Friday afternoon, as my left eye has been painful on and off all week, and suspect the mild optic neuritis is slightly less mild. Today I went to see the nice ms nurses at the Hallamshire in order to start on my disease modifying drugs. The drugs have been shown, on average, to reduce the frequency and severity of relapses, though with ms being such a variable disease it's hard to tell whether a longer gap between relapses would have happened with or without the drugs.
