Day 6 - Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol’ pen and paper?
That's an interesting question. I'll start with the easy bits. I used to like to write on paper, but I make too many mistakes and rewrites, so now I definitely prefer computer. On the other hand, if the idea is good enough, I'd been known to write on the back of train tickets or on the back of a pizza box... (and now I keep a little notebook in my purse, just in case...)
The time of day - is actually late at night. I've noticed that my analytical side of the brain works during the day and my creative part starts partying well past 10 PM. Which sucks cuz I gotta be up at 5:30 AM, meaning I go to bed by 11 PM... Things used to be a lot easier when I was a student (at least writing-wise).
Now the hard part. Where am I most comfortable writing? Well, if I consider it literally, then obviously, in front of my computer. But I get the feeling that's not the intent of the question.
I get inspired randomly, but there is a pattern. Long bus rides, long walks, that time when you go to bed but not quite ready to fall asleep. Basically, I get inspired to write every time I managed to clear my head completely.
Sometimes I'd be doing something - like watch TV or read - and my mind is not preoccupied, and the words would just pop in.
