Another book and I really did like this one:
Solitary By Travis Thrasher. Another acquired as a Kindle Freebie -- looks like today's Kindle price is $7.69. Is it worth it? I would vote yes.
I rated it with 3 stars on Shelfari:
"New kid in small town -- typical school alienation/bully/crap -- but with dark undertones. Very intriguing, and suspenseful. Potentially a Christian fiction novel, yet, it's not preachy the way some of the Christian novels tend to be. Excited to see this is first of a series."
Why only 3 stars? Well, it is a first book in a series, and I admittedly wasn't aware of that in the beginning, and the ending will leave you hanging for more. Besides, 3 stars on Shelfari is "I Liked It". Also, it has the potential of being Christian Fiction -- how can it be "potentially Christian", you ask?? There are some religious issues in this one.
I think another reason why I liked this one was that the author has somewhat a Stephen King - like style in writing, or at least his character's perspective.
I admit, I'm in search of the other books as I type...
