I just realized that the last funeral anyone in my family went to was Paul's, on my 17th birthday.

Today it's my dad's 59th and he's attending my grandmother's. What a weird little family tradition.

Life is funny, isn't it?

Um. My grandma died today.

She was 91 and passed away peacefully. My mom's flying out tomorrow night for the plans; we may follow, or stay on behind, depending on what happens.

I'm not really sure what to say.

I don't think it's hit me.

(I'm okay. My family's okay. I just feel like now I have to learn how to mourn.)

This morning when I woke up the plan was to go to church, go to my paternal grandparents' for lunch, come home, and go to our non-related cousins' house for New Year's Eve. Friday and Saturday were spectacularly good days because I spent them with meteorspark and thelessonoftime.
