Exciting weekend!
Friday and Saturday were spectacularly good days because I spent them with meteorspark and thelessonoftime. It was excellent; there hardly went by a moment when we weren't hugging or flopped over each other or poking each other or tickling (on the beach with sand in my hair, oh my God). ^____^ I miss Angie and I want to take her home with me and adopt her, because she should live with me and be my cuddlething. I was sad when we had to leave. She needs to come back NOW.
Nat's home from college, which means hugs and filial love and arguments over the computer: "Hey, I need to use the laptop for a couple of days." "My computer!" "I need to work on editing the movie and it's the only one that has iMovie. Besides, it's not yours." "Yes it is! Isn't it, Mommy?" "The laptop's Marika's." Finally, the younger sibling wins an ownership debate. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean I don't have to lend him the computer.
My grandparents gave me my graduation present today: an 18kt. gold chain bracelet. It's gorgeous and fits perfectly around my wrist and holy fuck how did they afford this they're Dutch.
The only dark cloud around the silver lining is that I have to finish my last paper today, and I have to go thank the teachers personally tomorrow for their hard work, and then sit through the graduation rehearsal and ceremony. Come on, can't they just hand me the diploma and wave me out the door? I don't want one of these bloody pompous rituals. I want to forget my high school career ever existed, not bestow esteem and honor upon it (and have my naked baby pictures be oohed and awwed at by 3000 or more people).
But I have cookie dough, so it can't be that bad.
