(no subject)
I have a smattering of COE thoughts...
1. How can they go from here without the great big RESET button? There is no-one of Torchwood left, unless Jack's current little trip is Doctor-hunting - we do have a couple of special eps left before Matt Smith arrives - it's just there isn't enough time to do that, Christmas, Rose and Ten2 and the changeover...
2. What about Andy and Rhiannon's husband? The last we saw of them, Andy had just made a massive decision to change sides and both had been pinned to the ground with truncheons. We also need to see the fallout over His Royal Crapness PM Green. And I'd like to see what happens with Lois and Bridget.
3. I am NOT happy! And I was utterly disappointed by that ending. Like loveslashangst I am choosing to pretend that COE stopped after day three. And I have moved a camping stove and large amounts of bottled water and tinned food into the Deniability Fort (will add a link if I can find it - like the tardis, it appears to have unlimited space)...
4. And of course __kali__ has just posted that Russell is abandoning ship (like an unlikeable person) and moving to America with, it seems, nary an interest in Torchwood and plenty of plans to do this all over again in the States. Thanks. A lot.
5. Also just read a reply by rabid1st to a comment I made earlier in the week and it left me with loads more questions - like, why was Clem not taken originally? I couldn't hear what Jack said about him, but we never got a resolution to the 'isit's, amongst other things.
6. Jack's abandoned Earth, the planet that he has spent 100 (give or take 2000) years helping to defend. I know he's just killed his grandson, but why leave? He's normally the angst-fest who'd stay to wallow in the guilt. And I know he's lost Ianto, but from what we've seen, as much as he cared for Ianto I'm not sure if he ever allowed himself/was able to love him. Oh, and when did the wriststrap become able to teleport again?
I can't help feeling that this story is not finished. Or is that just desperate hope? *Clings*
