I am meant to be washing up dishes, tidying the house and packing for Brownie camp. So instead I'm here doing a meme! Quelle surprise...

I am really enjoying Torchwood and am miffed that I've got to wait till Sunday for the final episode. I have decided to wait till I've seen all five eps before writing a review (plus I'll be watching them again with Andrew next week) and I'm so worried about my non-UK friends getting spoiled that I'm using this as an excuse to procrastinate...

Anyway, onto the mememeeeee. dtissagirl did this and I couldn't resist joining in!

RULES: Comment and I'll LJ stalk you to find THREE FANDOMS you apparently love. And then you answer these questions about them!

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

She gave me Doctor Who, Stargate SG-1 and Farscape..

Doctor Who

1. I watched this because it's new Who and the old one had always scared me too much to watch it! I liked it, fell in love with Chris Ecclestone and cried when the Doctor regenerated. And then I loved DT even more and on it went...

2. I'm certainly planning to stay and I'm looking forward to seeing how Matt Smith does as the new Doctor. And there are still bits that need tying up with Ten before he goes. However my love for Torchwood is now greater!

3. Gridlock, Parting of the Ways, Doomsday, The Stolen Earth/Journey's End.

4. I read and comment on bits and pieces, but not much. I've picked up some new flistees and friends through it as well, which is great.

5. Everyone should have a look. I mean, it's Doctor Who!

Stargate SG-1

1. My original 'my' fandom - I got into this one all on my own. I'd loved the movie and when I saw the videos in HMV I actually bought the first three - these were my first ever serial videos. And then I've seen every episode since, both the extended version (with the 18 certificate) and the broadcast version of Children of the Gods, watched the movies, bought books, been to the SFX convention cause Michael Shanks was there, own all the DVDs - yes, this is My Fandom!

2. I still read fic regularly and generally keep my eye on Gateworld.net in case anything interesting is happening. I doubt my love for this world will ever end. It's like other people's feelings for Doctor Who, for example.

3. Let me just say that when there's a bad episode (and there have been a few!) I content myself with the thought that there will be a better one in the next couple. And when there's a bad season, I know that season 10 will make me quite happy! I loved Unending, obviously, even if it was all reset. I liked Ex Deus Machina because of Sam's "It's complicated" comment, the shippy bits of season 4 (Upgrades, Divide and Conquer and Window of Opportunity), 2010 and 2001, and so many others.

4. See 1 and 2. Yes.

5. Everyone should dip their toe in the water. I know that Tissa and asta77 came to the fandom late but found they loved it - I believe the same will be true for most people, even if they only like bits.

Farscape

1. I started watching this just cause it looked really good and very original. I was bored by the first five or so episodes, then started bouncing every day that it was on and ended up throwing slippers at the tv screen when season 1 ended with the horrendous "will they survive? Will they reunite?" cliffhanger. I was hooked.

2. I am not really so much in it, although I am planning a re-watch with Andrew once we've finished or given up on Stargate, as he bought me all of Farscape for my 30th birthday. Lovely boy!

3. Again, too many to mention. I particularly love Zhaan so her departure eps (Self-inflicted Wounds) made me cry. I liked the nutty cartoon episode cause it was funny, cried at Bad Timing and obviously adored the Peacekeeper Wars. I've cried quite a lot at Farscape!

4. Once more, really answered in qu.2. Farscape was before my immersion into the net so I've never really been in this fandom.

5. I think it's overdue a re-screening on tv to snare in a few more addicts...

And when I'm home, if there are any takers I'll reciprocate...
