Favour to Ask of 'Buffy' fans...
(This starts out boring but involves Spike, people, so please keep reading. <3)
So, I've recently started writing my dissertation for university, and believe it or not my tutor legitimately advised me to think about using the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer in my research. While I have, in the past, watched pretty much all episodes at least once, I unfortunately don't know the show inside out the way I do, for example, Supernatural. Kind of hoping someone can help...
Can anyone think of any quotes either from Spike, or about him, that relate to:
a) Spike defying/resisiting/usurping some kind of authority figure (for example, Angel/Angelus).
b) Showing some kind of moral code, or performing a moral act (even in his evil days).
c) Being respectful/protective towards female characters.
d) Displaying an attitude of futility or pessimism (for example, believing himself damned/destined to fail).
e) Advocating free will; a determination to do the impossible.
Sorry, I know they're very specific and random things I'm asking for, but to simplify - anything that makes Spike a 'byronic hero'. Thank you in advance!
