some days
some days i miss high school. other days i don't.
some days i long to be close to people i know and have my mommy do my laundry and drive around summerville and not have to walk 3 blocks to get to my car.
some days i'm glad i can stroll in at any time and no one will nag me for being out too late. i can walk to almost anywhere, and if not, someone will drive me there. i'm a member of the national drumline fraternity and the infamous wad sqaud. for the past 4 years or so i've idolized the usc drumline and the history associated with them. it's everything i've imagined it to be. traditions, initiations, and friends. there's even drama. i look forward to drumline every day. they're pretty much my family here.
now that i know more people there's always someone to walk with, talk with, & eat with. i'm pretty much never alone. i have friends in my classes. i have friends in band. i even have friends in my dorm (well, only a few). what was i ever so scared of when it came to college? it's everything i hoped it would be and more.
i fit in.
