(no subject)
good morning!
It's rare that I get to post in the morning, and I'm at work too.
My boss is off for the day. "Cat's away, mice will play" sort of thing :)
There's not much for me to do...I could weed the file cabinet or create little tabs for the lamps. I'll do both, but there's the whole day ahead of me to get that done.
Mix It Up rehearsals start in about two weeks. My boss will be pissed...I told her they wouldn't interfere with the work schedule, but it turns out they'll want us in rehearsal pretty much every day. Oh well! This is exactly why I don't know why on earth she hired me, knowing that I'm a musician.
(warning this next paragraph might be tmi)
So, tomorrow I'm going to a gastroenterologist. Last summer I got some kind of food poisoning...or something...and things have just not been the same since. I don't want to go through another summer of feeling unusually tired, alternately constipated/bloated/explosive diarrhea, and overall awful. I don't know what's wrong or if anything can be done about it, but the upcoming rehearsals reminded me that once the season starts I won't have time to take care of it. I was hoping this issue would have resolved itself by now :(
Just going in for a consultation could cost me over $200. Can you believe that sh*t?
Guess I've been lucky to have avoided the Dr.'s office so far, so I'll try to suck it up. Many people have it much, much worse.
I'm terrified that whatever-it-is will require surgery.
Or that it has something to do with my pancreas.
Just got a shipment in, and there were complementary cookies with it! Bangin!
I have to track them in my food diary (sigh) guess I will exercise tonight to make up for it.
Since daylight is a bit longer now, I've been doing a 2.5 mile trail after work every day, but it's supposed to rain tonight.
Back to work I go.

My roommate just called...her grandpa's in the hospital and they think he might not make it, so she's flying to Arkansas. I'll be taking care of her cat this week.
