With the loud, startled whinney of a horse, a rider sporting a tricorn, a sabre and late 18th century clothing clatters into the Nexus. With his flintlock out and ready he looks around, frowns, but continues his mission.

The next stranger he comes across will get a command. "Stand and deliver!"

Two men are standing there. One takes out a dagger, the other a morningstar.

The horse sounds alarmed again, but the rider only looks surprised. "I have a pistol! Surely your do not intend to combat a ranged weapon with those."

"You did say 'stand and deliver'," says Mr. Croup. He smirks. "And we've done it before, haven't we?"

"Yeah."

"Well, you may hand over your weapons. And what money you carry."

She watches with interest. The weapon he carries looks like it wouldn't do her much damage. Stepping into sight she brushes some imaginary dust off her shirt, this time it's sporting Led Zeppelin. She's matched it with knee high boots and a punk skirt.

"You may wish to calm your horse. I'm not interested in getting my clothes dirty today."

"My horse is ready, lady, no need to be calm." He quietly hopes he hasn't disturbed her from her sleep, or whatever action requires so few clothes. "Hand over your money."

He points the pistol at her. "From your willing hand or your lifeless hand. Your choice."

He leans away from the troll and the horse backs up. "I'll... leave you your bow. You would be able to use it better than I."

Something very large and blue is suddenly looming over him....

The horse realises before the rider does and bolts away as fast as it can.

Scattor watches them go, then gives a rumble of amusement and vanishes in a sparkle of blue.

"Oh, I heard. I just don't feel like cooperating. Not that I have much on me of worth." He folds his arms across his chest and smirks. "Besides, not like you can hurt me if I don't want you to, and even if you did manage to do so somehow, you'd be getting a nasty surprise."

"You say you have little, but you can afford good clothing. A contradiction." He grins. "And what surprise is this?"
