With the loud, startled whinney of a horse, a rider sporting a tricorn, a sabre and late 18th century clothing clatters into the Nexus. With his flintlock out and ready he looks around, frowns, but continues his mission.

The next stranger he comes across will get a command. "Stand and deliver!"

Two men are standing there. One takes out a dagger, the other a morningstar.

The horse sounds alarmed again, but the rider only looks surprised. "I have a pistol! Surely your do not intend to combat a ranged weapon with those."

"You did say 'stand and deliver'," says Mr. Croup. He smirks. "And we've done it before, haven't we?"

"Yeah."

[cape_and_musket]

"Well, you may hand over your weapons. And what money you carry."

AVF or not, it's up to you. (I suggest AVF, though.)

Croup throws a dagger. No human could move as fast, or throw as hard, as he does.

There is so little time to react that his reaction is a moment behind the throw. He yells, raises his arm, then points his weapon at Croup before noticing that the dagger bounced away. "What is this? Is your aim that poor?"

[mr_v_and_mr_c]

"Can't do violence here. I thought that was the best way to show you."

[cape_and_musket]

"I don't understand. What prevents it?"

[mr_v_and_mr_c]

"Not sure. Probably magic."

[cape_and_musket]

"Magic. Then where is the caster?"

[mr_v_and_mr_c]

"I'm afraid that we haven't a clue. If we did, we'd have had him change it by now, trust me."

"I trust that if you do find them, and you do deal with them, you will inform me."
