Amy's in the Nexus, sitting curled on a couch in her human alt form. She's looking pretty content, but also just a little green around the gills and tired.

"Have you ever stopped and looked back on your life, and realized that it's gone a way that you would have never dreamed of?"

((People with the right scanners will be able to tell that she' ( Read more... )

"Quite often. But I find I prefer where I am now to where I would have been."

She nods, a soft smile in her dark eyes. "Yes. I'd have to say the same."

"Yeah, and kind of a lot, too. Never thought I'd end up getting turned into a Transformer for what I thought was going to be forever (now I'm stuck being human), becoming immortal before that, and well, ending up in the Nexus in the first place. How about you?" Faye seems to like the sound of her own voice... At least it's not unpleasant to hear.

The small brunette nods her head and curls her legs up on the couch beside her, carefully smoothing her plaid schoolgirl skirt. "I saw myself as wife to a certain mech and co-creator of his offspring, all of us living on the planet I'd been created on. But now I'm living in a totally different reality, married to a totally different mech, and with friends I'd never dreamed the existence of."

It's a Cybertronian that can take human form? "Hmm? Why move in the first place? Did something happen?"
A pause.
"How come you look human?"

She blinks, realizing her mistake and that her Autobbot symbol is covered by the big fuzzy sweater she's wearing.

"Yes, something happened." An absent hand to her upper arm to rub the sleeve over the brand. "And this is one of my alt modes."

"Many times. For both good and bad. At times it makes me curious about what could happen next."

She nods. "Me too. Especially since what has happened to me seemed so terrible... but it's resulted in more good things that I'd ever dreamed of."

After a brief pause, it was his turn to nod.

"Enduring terrible things and surviving to make good things happen for yourself takes admirable strength. What kind of good things are happening for you?" He would not be offend she didn't want to answer.

She blushes and looks down. "It wasn't my strength that got me through it. And... compared to some of the things I've heard here they'd probably seem silly. I'm just a housewife."

It's plain that silly or not, those things mean a great deal to her.

"Often, but that's just the way life is," says a fellow with a pair of twins on toddler leashes. He'd show up on scans as robotic, but the twins are human.

She grins at him, then leans forward slightly to speak to the babies for a moment before saying, "Not the life that I'd known. For gens my creators and theirs have lived quietly, surrounded by family, and nothing more dangerous than the occasional traffic accident."

The twins respond in their own babbled toddler pidgin of Russian, German, Japanese, and English word fragments.

"Sounds nice," says Blues. "And boring. I think that would drive me nuts after a month at the most, and I'd be off looking for something else to meddle in."

She chuckles and offers to pick the little ones up. "I think I'd go nuts with anything more exciting. I seem to be made for quiet things like taking care of a family."
