Yay for long weekends
So, many long-awaited things accomplished today. First of all, Florence and I finally recorded our amusing voicemail message- which, true to form, ends with me saying "I can't figure out how to end this" and Florence whispering "Press '9'." :) We'll leave it that way and then change it in a couple weeks. Maybe. :)
Also, we finally got most of our posters/pictures/photos up! I think it all looks very nice. Now we just have to get that big bag sitting in the center of the room unpacked and we've officially moved in...over a week after we arrived.
The weekend's been nice. Yesterday I decided that it was such a nice day that I should do something outside. It's also my goal this year to branch out and try things I don't do very often. So...I went to a women's soccer game! I haven't been to one of those since freshman year. And it was pretty fun, even if I had to leave a quarter of the way in to go put sunscreen on and still go a bit pink on the neckline. The end score was 0-1, St. Mary's losing. So we didn't exactly crush the competition. But still, fun.
I also saw "Spiderman 3" for the second time at the campus cinema this evening, and while it's entertaining, I was reminded of the fact that it's not actually that good of a movie. I can't bring myself to say I didn't like it, because I was entertained to some extent. But I do think they could have done a lot better. (I said the same thing after "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest".) Afterwards my friends and I went down to the Point and stargazed. The weather was still beautiful.
Today I gave my first campus tour of the year, and then did a whole lotta nothing for the rest of the day. I'll probably migrate to the suites later on, bother some people, maybe watch a DVD or something. And tomorrow I'm going to NOT go to classes! How about that? :D
Oh, and I remembered to take the trash out today. Major points for me!
