I just got back from the Kennedy Center, where I saw a fully staged rendition of Bernstein's Mass.

On the shallow side, I saw the boy I had a stupid crush on for an entire YEAR of college up in the balcony. He never saw me, I don't think, which is a grievous pity- I looked DAMN CUTE, if I do say so myself. *harumphs* Ah well. ;)

WELL NOW.

Ok, I know that arcadiaego is prepared to do Very Questionable Things in order to see this film and get it over with as soon as possible, so I knew I needed to post tonight. :) I want to be VERY CAREFUL about what gets posted, as feelings run high with this story for many of us and even emotional reactions can influence opinions.

Therefore, ( some vague thoughts under this first cut. )

Saw the Shakespeare Theatre's 'Shrew' tonight. Several things I want to discuss later, but for now? Just one thing to mention.

Sadly, this cannot be blamed on Crazy Michael Kahn, as it was directed by Rebecca Bayla Taichman, who should KNOW BETTER.

So the Washington Post is probably the snarkiest publication I've ever come across. When its vitriol is directed against something I'm fond of, I am up in ARMS, marching to the horizon with a song of vengeance in my heart.

Ok, westerly has SHAMED me into posting, considering that she managed to put out some thoughts on the production a matter of HOURS after we saw it Sunday, while I, with all my quantity of love and healthy criticism, have seen it THREE TIMES and am only now getting off my bum.
