Golly- my ACE application has been submitted. That's a bit intimidating. I've taken a real step now to my post-graduation life.... yay? All that it needs is for the letters of recommendation to be sent (I suppose next week I should send a reminder...) and for the transcript I ordered to be sent as well, and- poof! Now for the Chigwell School fellowship...
Tomorrow begins my last 24 hours in Lake Charles, for Saturday morning at the crap of dawn, I am Philly-bound. Not for long, however- soon as I land, it's time to hop in Steve and drive to D.C., just what everybody wants to do after a long plane ride.... But once I get there, sisters, cousins, and brothers-to-be await me, ready and waiting for card playing shenanigans to begin! And Monopoly... Mmm, board games. ;) I have a mental list of tasks that must be completed ere long of errands to run, grandparents to visit, and assorted Christmas presents to pack. Sadly, I didn't think to mostly fill my suitcase with things to leave at home on this go-round, so it should be a tight squeeze. Well, I am strong and mighty, am I not? That, and heft is on my side on this one. ;)
I'll be sad to leave my mum. She's doing so well, but she's always been a bit fragile. Now, it's just more apparent to me and I have constant reminders, as if my own thoughts weren't doing the job enough. Next time I see her, it'll be at commencement. Yikes.
Alright, I pledged to myself that this would be a brief entry. Regular updates to recommence as soon as the term starts, I promise. For now, it's time for another bath...
