Woke up early, to be at Lakepointe at 9am so I could do the application while the price was still good (they have fluctuating prices every day). After I drove around Plantation a bit, trying to kill time for Gary/Carolyn (who had just flown in that morning) to answer me back so I could see them. They fell asleep and didn't reply so I left. Did my drug test for work. Then took my uncle and gma out to lunch at La Carreta (gma's bday is the 19th, fathers day was the same day). Fuckers wouldn't let me substitute my side for another white rice! I got white rice, and TWO more sides, and I couldn't trade those two sides for one order of white rice. Bitches

Harry POT(ter)LUCK. Last year I did a house warming/bday party. This year I did a Harry Potter themed shindig, with potluck being the main thing. I won't lie...I was really disappointed with how unenthused the majority of the invitees were about getting into the spirit of things. But in the end, I had an amazing time with great friends. Denise did a fucking FANTASTIC job of turning my apartment into Harry's apartment...haha...and cooking delicious food.

Gary and Carolyn slept over, but I had to take my dad to lunch so I left them here. Went to my gma's house and we all left for Pei Wei. They (gma and gpa) are old and cranky, and they are so familiar with that place, it's the only eatery we can go to....good thing it's great! After they cut cake for me. It was a ridiculous cake courtesy of my aunt, in the shape of a giant Canon 5D camera. It took them 8 hours to make it. Fantastic job!
Got some good presents...the 14mm lens I asked for, a light meter, a cool photo book, some money. Went back to my place, and took Gary and Carolyn to Chipotle.

My actual birthday day. G/C came over, and I drove them to Oleta. I had gone once maaaaaaaany years ago. My dad and bro did the kayaking, but I did not. We rented a canoe, and went down the river onto the bay. It was amazing. We canoodled over to Sandspur Island, and had the beach to ourselves for a while. After that we came back here to do some pooling but it started storming again. So we just lazed out for a bit.
My mom was discharged from Heartland today, so I went to visit her for a bit. She was sleeping.

RIDE THE RAPIDS, HAVE SOME FUN, RIDE THE RAPIDS, EVERYONE! Been wanting to go to this for the last 2 years, and finally got a change. Gary, Carolyn, Tricia, Kenzie went. Very hot day...between Oleta the day before and today, I got waaaay more sun than I wanted! Haha. Fun fun day though.
Finally heard back from Lakepointe, my app was approved (of course it was...the only holdback was Gibson, who needed to send them a NOTARIZED letter of acceptance). I took Gary to the airport, and then had some Jimmy Johns with Carolyn. Visited Leslie Nielson's grave. Then went to Traci's to sell her my banjo and baritone ukulele. Went to Ikea after, then checked out Lakepointe at night. Nice and quiet!

Spent almost 3 hours dealing with my phone drama (G2 phone was broke, Tmobile sent a new one, THAT was broken). At night, had my dinner at Grand Lux. A LOT of people cancelled last minute...but that's fine, because it was a nice small, manageable size. I enjoyed my company very much, and the food as well. Pat, Farrah, Max, Cari, Emery, Jio, Rachel, Jackson, Denise, Carolyn.

Took my uncle to the airport in the morning. Drove around a bit, found the green chucks at Marshalls in my size, and then ended up getting my car windows tinted....FINALLY. Had lunch at my moms, then went to Flamingo Plaza. What a bust. Sketchers outlet after, got 2 pairs of slip ons. Passed by Sam Ash to pick up my replacement phone (had to have it shipped there). Came home for a bit, then went shopping again.
