Since my mom finally made it out of the hospital (only to have to go back in a few days), and my uncle is in town, I decided to make some dinner for them. I made carne con papas, and they were both surprised at how good it was heh. My gma came too but I didn't realize that she doesn't eat meat anymore, so she brought her own food haha.

On Thursday I noticed that my windshield had a huge crack on it on the right side. It was big, and spreading (shut up!). No idea how it got there. Thankfully, Florida is one of four states where insurance companies have to replace your windshield at no cost, and it's considered a no-fault claim so my rates don't go up. The company I found came by in the morning while I was at work, and replaced it outside in the parking lot.

Even though I had not gotten 100% official confirmation about the job, I decided to go look at some apartments. The main one I was interested in I couldn't see, but I saw the area. It wasn't too bad (at first look). I saw a bunch of others too.

FINALLY got the call from David, officially offering the job at Gibson. My life changed, at that moment, and I've been 100 X's happier since! (I'll elaborate in a different post)

My mom went in for surgery. Started at 7am. She had a fracture in her pelvis on the back, that's what the leg pain was from. Day was loooooong. Surgery took 2 hours more than it was supposed to, but it went very well. She was transferred to the ICU. I left around 5, to take my grandma home cuz she had been there all day. My dad, aunt, and uncle were there.

What should have taken 5 days, took 2...my mom was transferred to a therapy hospital called Heartland. And it was right down the street! So from this point on, I was able to visit her every day!

Wanted to spend the day apartment hunting. Was going to go originally with Denise, but Luelle ended up tagging along. Of course, people were late and lunch took way too long...so we only got to look at one apartment. (It ended up being the one I got later on though haha). Had Grand Lux for lunch....mmmm chicken parm.

While I wanted to give Ash my 2 weeks (cuz I hate when people don't do that bullshit!), I had already planned for the week after this to be vacation. So I asked if they minded that today was my last day, and they said no (I gave them a week). They got me some cake, was nice.

Apartment hunting, once again. Saw the Waves (nice space, a little pricey at $1100 for one bd), Los Prados (kinda run down apartments for the waaaay high prices they were charging, and the lady was creepy), and the Laurels (liked the apartment model a lot, it was a corner unit, had vaulted ceilings, and faced the lake! Buuuut it was too much money, almost $1200 for a one bedroom. The girl showing me the place was super cute though, and really nice lol).
Picked up Emery, and went back to Lakepointe at Jacaranda. 2Bd2ba, 1034 sw ft, for less than the one bedrooms the other places had? Hell yea...then I found out it was a corner unit...I was sold.
