They say that it isn't a good idea to skimp on sleep during the week and attempting to make it up during the weekend. I haven't been doing that but you'd never know it. I normally get up at 5:15am. I know I said I wanted to stay in today. I did. And I accomplished nearly nothing. Not so good. Two days of nearly nothing is two days I don't have. I didn't sleep well. I had nightmares. So I might as well cover the book reading first.

I discovered today that in order for me to write, I need to be wearing headphones. Music is nice, too, but I need the headphones. I spent all day finishing up my Anita Blake Christmas story. Insomnia is killing me. I've never had a real problem with insomnia. Everyone has a sleepless night now and again but this is becoming ridiculous. I can fall asleep, I just can't stay there. If today was any indication of the success of the new year, it's going to be a great one. The synagogue was packed. People, myself included, were parked blocks away. One project down. We selected a leader for our high holy days services. The synagogue president really wanted the other candidate and I was on the fence. I didn't realize I was so indecisive.
