ALA 2011 (or the year I purchased no books). Yes, you read that correctly. I didn't buy a single book at ALA. I haven't done my book count yet but its close to 40. (Update - 35) Many are advance reader copies but not all. I was disappointed that some authors weren't signing their new books. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Yesterday was a very successful day in that I saw a lot of the people I want to keep in touch with. I don't know if I will ever be able to afford to be a librarian or even to work in the industry again but I love it and I miss it and it's good to keep my hand in it. Disneyland was crowded. Too crowded for me. Though the Buzz Lightyear ride was definitely worth the wait. You got to shoot lots of things with a laser gun. Very fun. And the Winnie the Pooh ride was adorable. Though at one point, Winnie has overdosed on honey and his dream looks like all the characters are on LSD.
