"People only need a certain degree of wealth before it gets to the point where what they do does not increase their happiness, as such there can only be unhappiness"

I found this when going to post on this blog and the chrome browser asked to fill the fields with what was previously there, due to say, the browser crashing or whatnot.

I have no recollection of this quote, no idea when I may have almost posted it but decided not to / passed out somewhere.

Currently, I am drunk. so I might as well expand on the original quote as I am indeed in the mood to type about something that means absolutely nothing or is just a bunch of fancy words placed in the exact right area to portray a context of meaning.

my guess is that I met some people who were filthy rich but much less happy about their lives than me.

so... now im going to type about tonight.. tonight I had a good d&m with the new flatmate, this girl who has been in a 12yr relationship with an abusive alcoholic boyfriend, she never went out in 12yrs, she left him 2 months ago. It is almost like she is reborn now at the age of 32. before this 12yrs she had a colourful background taking drugs, doing crimes, getting messed up - at a very young age. Her background was surprisingly free, her parents let her do anything, she went out and didnt come back for weeks - her parents said to her once "do whatever you want, just make sure that you don't blame us for what happens to you". Its almost like they asked her to prove how far she could go before they would show some kind of love, make a statement. It occurred to me that if you're strict, the children will rebel, if they're too free - they will try and prove that they should be disciplined, in the most undisciplined manner, as a statement and cry for attention/love. Seems like you can't win either way.

that is all I have to type, for now. rather drunk, just want this saved somewhere - so why not the interwebs?
