What a week.

This week has been ridiculous.  Here's why:

1) On Wednesday night, I watched the Stanley Cup game with friends at a bar on campus.  Nearly everyone at the the bar was from the Chicago-land area except for the three guys at one table cheering for Philly midway through the game. The Flyers made the Hawks fight for this win matching the Hawks goal for goal. And that final goal... Everyone at the bar wasn''t sure if the puck went in or even where it went. We saw Kane skating away and cheering, but we being hardened sports fans were unsure. NBC aired the replay and we cheered our heads off. You can see the game highlights here with the OT goal at about the 2:45 min. mark. The diehards took their celebration to the streets and... did some really stupid things that college students shouldn't do in the first place (ie holding an open bottle of beer while moving backwards in front of a very pissed off person's car).

2) Then there was the continued drinking after the game... Water is a wonderful thing as is warm ciabatta bread with parmesan cheese at 2am.

3) Yesterday I helped one friend go dress shopping for a date and another friend take care of her car. Basically the latter found her rear bumper had been hit and literally ripped off the left corner of her car by another car.  After filing a police report, we used bungee cords to secure the bumper while we drove to the repairman. Thankfully her insurance company is paying for most of the repairs and for her rental car.  The downside is she needs to drive 8 hrs home by Monday and her car won't be ready until Wednesday. She bought me dinner as a thank you, which I appreciated.

Today is a work day and tomorrow I need to figure out when everyone is free to go to the Taste of CU. Maybe in the morning I'll finally go to the Farmer's Market to see what there is to eat.

4) Oh, I found out some amazing news about a friend of mine on Wednesday. :D I can't share it because I respect her privacy but let's just say it's "squee" worthy.
