Hi!

I'm having an issue forcing the text color of the header for my calendar to be black. The journal I'm working on is here. Right now, it is stubbornly remaining the default hunter green. I've managed to get all the other headers to conform to black, but the calendar just... won't.

The code I'm using:

Hi! I'm working on a layout and I'd like to make the background color for each of my navigation links a different color. Is there a way to specify each item within ".module-viewlinks li.module-list-item" so that I can then define a separate background color for each one?

I feel like such a n00b, asking all these questions... and if there's any rule against posting too often, please do let me know.

But basically, I've been trying for nearly a day to add a background image to the sidebar or one of the modules in my layout, with no luck.  What I essentially want to do is stick this:

This code is almost identical to the tutorial found at s2expressive (which, in turn, was borrowed from s2flexisquares). That is because I blatantly stole it and adapted it slightly to work for Bloggish by changing the classes and one measly line of code.

As usual, you may change the stuff in green.

I really struggled with this tutorial. I was never any good at writing S2 code, I'm just good at adapting it for my own purposes! Anyway, I finally came up with a way to display a tag cloud in your sidebar, thanks in part to the tutorial in s2smoothsailing. You can have many variations of this, so I will list them here as well.

I have a paid account and a theme layer so I can have extra module boxes. I know this was possible with flexible squares but is there any way I can make some of these modules visible only to myself and friends with Bloggish?

New to bloggish and to this comm! I have managed to incorporate a couple of extra boxes into my sidebar (on a test journal) including a random quote generator using the very helpful tutorials here. In order to have a counter on your journal sidebar, you will first need to find a site that offers them. I personally use easycounter.com. They give you an html code to copy/paste and the whole process is very simple.

There is more than one place on the journal you can add a counter. You can put it in a custom module box or you can replace an ( Read more... )

I just switched too a new layout shared at thefulcrum I followed the instructions provided and it worked nicely. I modified the CSS to get rid of the summary and tags. So far so good, but I want to add a couple of modules for extra links. I made a theme layer but it didn't work.
