It was a pleasant surprise to come across the long out-of-print Sesame Street book from 1971, The Together Book, which was the first Sesame Street book ever made! You can check it out in its entirety on Tough Pigs (a Muppet-themed blog).

It's been 15 years ago this month (perhaps this week) when my family and I moved away from our native New York (the Bronx).

Next year, it'll be 15 years when we first lived in Richmond (we stayed in VA Beach for a year, and didn't like it).

I miss NY a LOT, but it's nice and quiet down here in Richmond. Too bad it doesn't snow as much . . .

It was three decades ago this day when a movie called Star Wars has pretty much changed the world. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. This is such an adorable commercial!

This is Bucky Beaver selling Ipana brand toothpaste back in the 1950s.

Almost two years ago, I saw this on a commercial collection Something Weird OnDemand had! I showed this to Mom, and she absolutely remembers this from when she was little! She even remembers the song's lyrics!

Now this is how I remember watching The Mighty Hercules (1963) on UHF TV every early evening! (It was either PBS in NY, or UHF Channel 63, where I also watched Speed RacerI really enjoyed this cartoon as a kid, and this is still one of my favorite incarnations of Hercules himself!
