Ear infections: they're not just for kids anymore!

So the drumming I've been experiencing in my left ear for the past week seems to be an ear infection. I saw the Dr. today, who said he could see some kind of bubbles when looking inside, which were indicative of the infection in some way I didn't fully grasp. I'm thankful, at least, that this is (so far, anyway) not painful. It's only that the irregular drumming noises are driving me nuts. At least it's not voices, right?

I wish I lived in a land of beautiful snails and slugs. Here in MN even the biggest are pretty tiny, and you just don't see them that often. This group on Flickr makes me so envious. *sigh* I loves me some slugs.
