Man, 70ish, approaches the service desk: Well, hello! You don't look any older than when you where over there!
*pointing in the direction of our old building, which we moved out of 4 years ago*
Me: Why, thank you!
(he could have stopped there, but alas)
Man: Have you always looked like a child?
Me, at a loss for words: Um...I guess so!
He was well-meaning and cheerful (and who wouldn't like a compliment about looking youthful?), but it seems like kind of a back-handed compliment...
