(no subject)
B has been having tooth pain for a while and his front two teeth were broken. I was really worried he was going to get an infection. Well he woke me up early this morning and said he was going to the dentist because his gums had swelled up in the front. I was like yes please go! He was gone for four hours and I figured that couldn't be a good sign. He hates the dentist, so I wasn't sure if he would even let them do anything. Poor boy came home with his face all swollen up. They ended up doing oral surgery on him and removed six teeth! He's deciding if he's going to have them take the remaining 8 up top or try to save them instead. Either way they are going to have to make him temporary teeth of some kind. It's costing us a lot, but I don't care because he needs it. I just want his mouth not to hurt him or him to get sick from it.
Even though I feel like crap with a stupid sinus infection cold thing going on I got some work done. I finished up the artwork for an album cover for the band that is waiting on it. They wanted me to do abstracts for the front and back covers. They are very different and a bit darker then I usually do, but they seemed really pleased with it. They are a modern punk band so it sort of suits them I think.
I've had a lot of people commenting about my hair lately. It is the natural brown and grey and longer then I normally where it. For a while I was just tired of dealing with it. It doesn't take color very well anymore. People kept asking what color was I going to do next with it. But it's just so hard to maintain the funky bright colors. They wash out of the grey bits so fast. I wish it would all just go grey already. So I finally said to B what would he think about me putting in some synthetic dreadlocks? He'd get to see me with longer hair and I could do brown with funky colored tips. He said, sure what the heck. So I ordered a bunch of hair and I've been making dreadlocks all night. I'm going to just braid them in with a little invisible rubber bands. That way their in good, but not permanent. I can't wait so I can do big dread buns and funky hair do's with them. I'm totally going to make cute big headbands to wear with them to keep them out of my face when I paint. It's going to be a fun change.
